Welcome to North Bankstown Soccer Club
COVID update 30 July 2021
We hope that you are all keeping safe and well.
Football NSW have announced the continuing suspension of all football activities within Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong until midnight on Friday 28th August 2021. This means that all games, training and other football activities are still unable to happen.
Canterbury-Bankstown Council has also closed all parks in response to the Govt health messages. So there will be NO TRAINING or games until further notified.
BDAFA are meeting to discuss returning to play. Your coach or manager will contact you with details regarding future games as soon as details are available to us.
We will notify you ASAP if there is any change to this arrangement.
The opening of the new clubhouse will take place as soon as possible!
It has been postponed due to the current Covid-19 lockdown.
We warmly invite you to come and join us then.
Make a day of it and bring the family
While you’re there, find out more about the future plans for the Club and our community working and playing together.
We are currently looking to work collaboratively with community organisations within our local area to run two new soccer initiatives – Football4all and Walking Football
FOOTBALL4ALL PROGRAM allows participants of all abilities to take part in football. It provides inclusive playing opportunities in a safe and secure environment while promoting the key messages of inclusion, health promotion and skill development.
WALKING FOOTBALL operates in partnership with Active Ageing Australia and offers a social, small-sided & sustainable version of football specifically modified for older Australians. It focuses on passing rather than speed/running; flexible with its formats and accessible to the community and prospective players. It highlights the health, well-being and social benefits of regular football and exercise activities for older people.
In light of the recent outbreaks of Covid-19, we would remind you this is important that we obey the Health Department’s rules. We would ask that should you or someone in your household be showing symptoms of illness, that you do not attend.
