NORTH BANKSTOWN SOCCER CLUB would like to welcome all our players, coaches, managers, parents and members to the 2012 season.

2011 was a very successful season for the club. Most of the non-competitive teams (U/6 to U/9) did very well, finishing on top of their groups with some undefeated. Our Premier League 1 and Premier League 2 teams consolidated their positions in their respective competitions, with the P/L 2 reserves making the semi-finals. All up, we had 9 teams make the semi-finals, with 4 going on to take out the premiership. Congratulations to all our teams but especially to our 11/4, 13/1, 15/1, and 16 girls teams who were victorious. Our 13/1 and 16 girls teams were minor premiers and proudly represented the Bankstown district in the Champion of Champions.

Presidents Welcome 2012

On behalf of North Bankstown Soccer Club I would like to welcome all players and parents to to our club for the 2012 season and I sincerely hope that this year brings success and enjoyment to all those involved.

Our club was founded in 1953 and has a proud and successful history. Last season was very successful. Our Premier League squad consolidated their position the Premier League 1 competition. We fielded 22 competitive teams, 9 of which made the semi finals in their age groups. Four of these went on to win the premiership. Congratulations to them.

There were some important milestones achieved last year. We fielded 6 boys teams in division 1 of their age groups, the most for a long time and all were competitive. Two of our teams, the 13/1 boys and 16 girls ran first in their competitions and represented Bankstown District in the Champion of Champions competition. We were also able to field a team in most age groups in the girls competition - 14, 16, 18 and All Age ladies.

This year we are expecting to field more than 35 teams. This means lots of work, so anyone interested in volunteering in any capacity - coaching, managing, canteen, helping with special events - please speak to someone on the management committee to find out more information.

North Bankstown Soccer Club is committed to having a safe and friendly environment for all players, coaches and officials, parents, referees and anyone else involved in the sport. We expect fair play and good sportmanship at all times, and we expect everyone to abide by the Bankstown Association Code of Conduct that was distributed at registration. There will be regular articles in our newsletters and on our website to keep you thinking about this important issue.

I look forward to meeting you all as the season progresses. The club management committee meets every second Wednesday of every month, 7.30pm in the clubroom and all are welcome to attend.

And make sure you check the club website regularly.

Regards
Mark Kearns
President

Volunteers

We are a community club and rely on the support of our members to get things done. There are many jobs to be done to keep the club running smoothly and we need volunteers to help wherever possible. So if you can spare an hour or two on Saturdays (game days) or on training nights, please put your hand up. All help will be gratefully received. Please call our club secretary, Catherine Kearns, on 0417 140 582 if interested.
